FAQ
What is our mission?
Rosemary’s Essentials aims to promote overall well being through the use of our botanical and natural products.
What does “beyond organic” mean?
We consider all of our ingredients organic, but given the financial aspect associated with obtaining and maintaining a certified status, some of our suppliers do not choose to opt in to obtaining certified status, so they consider themselves “beyond certified organic”. These farms do not use any pesticides, work with the earth, and respect the natural life cycle of the animal.
Why do you not offer a vegan alternative like shea butter?
Shea butter is a preferred alternative for a vegan option but still does not compare when it comes to nutrient composition. Shea butter is more expensive, clogs the pores, and can be unfitting for people with sensitive skin. Because tallow is made up of a similar cellular composition to our skin, it can be more ideal for all around general moisturizing use. Nutrients are stored in the fat of all animals, so it is better to get beef tallow from cows that have lived a happy, clean, whole life versus cows that were manufactured for slaughter and live fearful/stressed lives. At Rosemary’s Essentials, we take care to ensure that we embody our core values by only purchasing ethically and sustainably obtained tallow from local farmers who share our values.
What percentage are your essential oils diluted down to?
The essential oils in our Whipped Beef Tallow Moisturizer are diluted to 1.8% so that they are safe for daily use.
